Young, innovative and not afraid to challenge the status quo – we at KR Movies believe that cinema is an extremely powerful visual medium that has the potential to touch our lives, influence our thinking and make a difference to our society at large. Established in 2013 by Jaspreet Kaur, the youngest woman film producer in Eastern India, it stands for all that represents the youth in Indian cinema today. Computer Engineer by education and an 'outsider' to the film fraternity she was fuelled solely by the passion to make good cinema.

KR's first production - 'C/O Sir' [2013], a romantic thriller, directed by the National Award winner Kaushik Ganguly was a runaway success. The second production of KR, 'Bawal'[2015] a commercial comedy, is the directorial debut of Biswarup Biswas. Each movie refreshingly different, we had made our point – it will be impossible to typecast us into a particular genre, other than of course associating us with good entertaining cinema.

Not afraid to experiment, KR Movies aspires to become a platform for new and fresh talent, lend them a voice to tell their stories. KR's reputation as an honest enterprise has helped build a tremendous amount of goodwill within the fraternity and outside of it within a relatively short period of time. It has been a wonderful journey so far and it promises to be even more exciting as we grow.

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep"
