Set in the breathtaking backdrop of North Bengal, C/O Sir is an inspirational story of a school teacher, Jayabrata Ray, who suddenly loses his vision after his retinal fluid dries up. The plot revolves around an old British school, nestled among the green forested slopes. Mr. Ghosh, an NRI businessman has his eyes set on buying the school and he has managed to convince the school trust and the management to support him. Jayabrata's bungalow 'Christina' is inside the school premises and Mr. Ghosh is unwilling to go ahead with the deal unless Jayabrata agrees to sell his Bungalow – a private land inside the school premises will be a deterrent to Mr. Ghosh's future re-development plans. Jayabrata, however, is adamant about not selling the bungalow – this is driven by more than mere sentimental value as is disclosed as the story unfolds. Jayabrata's resistance is a deal breaker and there is increasing pressure on Jayabrata to agree to part with his bungalow from various interested parties. His blindness leaves Jayabrata at the mercy of 'trust' and 'relationships' to navigate through the complexities of a legal battle. As relationships rapidly change shades with changing situations the story unfolds how in spite of his blindness, Jayabrata could see the danger that others with eyes could not; thus, he becomes instrumental in opening their eyes with his inner vision and instinct. The film also beautifully explores with suspense and delicacy the myriad shades of human emotions vis-à-vis their relations to one another and eventually throws the spotlight on a very bold yet sensitive social message.
